How to Apply for Satellite Broadband

How to Apply

In order to receive a FREE Satellite Broadband Installation there are a number of steps that You, Wideband and the Australian Broadband Guarantee (ABG) program need to complete.

Step 1:
Click Here to complete the information pack request.

Step 2:
Wideband will check your address and phone number to see if there are any non-subsidised services available to you. This is a requirement under the ABG Program.

Step 3:
If we determine, or it is not clear, if there are any standard Broadband services available to you, Wideband will register your details with the ABG Broadband Service Locator which will start the process of you receiving your ABG ID number needed for Wideband to be able to claim the subsidy for your connection.

Step 4:
You will receive a letter from Wideband Networks confirming your pre-application details and this letter will also include an Application Form that you should return once you have your Australian Broadband Guarantee Application Number. This letter also outlines the process moving forward and includes a contact point should you have any questions.

Step 5:
You will receive an information pack from the Australian Broadband Guarantee program which includes your ABG ID number and customer attestation form if you are eligible to receive a subsidised service. If you are not eligible, you will be directed to the providers that can offer you a non-subsidised service.

Step 6:
Once you have received your ABG ID number, you need to post your pre-completed application form back to us. Once our application form and the customer attestation provided in your ABG information pack are received by Wideband, we will then process your order further. We can not accept a fax or e-mail copy of the customer attestation. This is a requirement of the ABG Program.

Step 7:
We will confirm the paper work is in order, and then release your order for Installation. Your installation should be completed from this point within 21 days.

Estimated Time Frame

Steps 1 to 6 (the paper work stages) from 7 to 21 days for all items. This will be dependent on how long the ABG program takes to send our your ID number and information pack.

Step 7 (the installation stage) this will be completed within 21 days.
