About the Directors
 Phillip Britt - Managing Director
Wideband Networks Pty Ltd & Aussie Broadband Pty Ltd
Phillip is the original founder of Wideband Networks, and incorporated the company in July 2001. After working and owning businesses in the Internet industry for over 8 years, he saw a continued need to extend broadband access into regional and rural areas.
Phillip was also the founder and sole director / shareholder of Network Technology Pty Ltd. This company started in 1996 providing dial-up Internet access to over 10,000 residential and business users in the greater Gippsland area. This company employed 8 full-time staff and operated 10 points of presence throughout Gippsland.
Phillip sold Network Technology to Datafast Telecommunications Limited in June 2000. After receiving several buy out offers, Phillip chose Datafast as they were committed to continuing the regional focus of the business.
After the sale of Network Technology Pty Ltd Phillip was appointed General Manager - Network Operations at Datafast and was responsible for continuing the rollout of Datafast's Broadband microwave network through Western Victoria from Melbourne to Mt Gambier in South Australia. He was also directly responsible for 26 staff. This challenging position allowed Phillip to gain considerable experience in both Wired and Wireless solutions.
Phillip was also responsible for implementing the billing and customer management systems at Datafast. The system installed was billing over 60,000 customers per month and providing a single bill for both voice and data.
In January 2003 Phillip left Datafast to pursue new business interests with Wideband Networks. Considerable planning was done of his local hometown area in Gippsland and in October 2003 building commenced on the existing Wideband Wireless network, with the first customers being connected in late 2003.
In July 2008 Wideband Networks sucessfully merged with Westvic Broadband to create Aussie Broadband Pty Ltd, a company that is focused on providing access to Rurual and Regional Australia. Phillip is currently the Managing Director of Wideband, Westvic Broadband & Aussie Broadband

After working with Phillip at Datafast, John came on board as an equal shareholder in Wideband Networks and as a Director.
As Datafast was rolling out its Broadband microwave network and providing connections through its ADSL resale agreement with Telstra, billing of the new broadband connections was becoming an issue.
John was employed to develop billing systems to integrate the usage information generated by the ADSL network into the billing system used by Datafast. The time line for the integration was very short and John developed a system that seamlessly allowed single billing to occur.
John has 6 years experience in billing applications for Internet solutions and understands the critical nature of "Getting it right first time". He is responsible for all of Wideband's Server infrastructure, billing activities and customer management systems.
