More Details on ADSL
Will I get 8000 kbps download speeds?
Wideband's ADSL 8000K plans provide the best possible performance that we can provide on standard telephone lines. Many factors can vary the speed of your connection; these include, length of copper line, number and types of services sharing the cable, electrical interference, configuration of cable and or wiring and capacity of uplink, age of copper line, quality and joints in the copper wire that feeds your house, etc.
8000kbps is a theoretical maximum speed only and Wideband cannot guarantee you will achieve this speed, due to the factors described above.
Excess data is charged at 2 cents per Megabyte. You may also choose to have your account shaped (reduced in speed) to 64K instead of paying for excess data once your included data is used.
Peak Data is used between Midday and Midnight, Off-Peak is Midnight to Midday.
